Hi Dancers – in Body Ballet we don't use a lot of fancy equipment - just simple belts and weights, nothing that is digital or even needs to be plugged in (except the music).

Sally was kind enough to send me this link and I loved watching it. Not only because I am from Belgium but because it captured the sheer enjoyment of dance that is accessible to everyone.  I want you to feel that joy not only in class but carry it outward to the rest of your lives.
 
Thigh or no thigh?
Hi Dancers -

I want to talk about quads.  Your quadriceps are the four big muscles in the front of your legs.  They are the strongest and leanest muscles in the human body. They straighten your leg and are the main protectors of your knee.

 
Did ballet help the Steelers?
Monday's New York Times had a headline, 'MVP ON HIS TOES: SANTONIO HOLMES'S BALLETIC TOUCHDOWN LIFTED THE STEELERS.' And here is Holmes himself as quoted in the Times, "All I did was  extend my arms and use my toes as an extra extension to catch up to the ball." I think that sounds like port de bras don't you?
